TheValueChain thanks its colleagues with a surprise visit

People are the heart and soul of any organisation and especially at TheValueChain. We go the extra mile for our consultants ... literally!

Last weekend, the management of our +200-people-strong company paid a surprise visit to its colleagues.

We are a close-knit family at TheValueChain, said Ivan Leysen. “But even though we may be close, with all the accompanying Covid-measures means that we see each other less often than we would like. In this new environment the distance between people has increased both literally and figuratively. It is essential for our safety, but the physical distance should not result in people feeling isolated. We wanted to launch an initiative to make it clear that we think about our people and that we are there for them. Out of sight is not out of mind at TheValueChain!

Gift package

We came up with the idea to visit our colleagues at home and surprise them with a scoop and a DIY package. “TheValueChain comes to you! Not easy with a team of +200 people. But we are happy to take on a challenge”, announced Dieter Oversteyns, who, together with Ivan Leysen, Bob Vrancken, Eric Hassenberg, Peter Krul, David Jacobs, Christophe Gielon, Kurt Blaton and Pieter Bangels, travelled throughout Belgium last weekend. “We had a great time. Seeing people again and surprising them, seeing everyone in person was great!

Creative cupcakes

The package included all kinds of TheValueChain re-branded materials such as a coffee mug, note blocks, post-its, face masks - as well as DIY ingredients needed for everyone to bake their own cupcakes. We also added a photo challenge to the DIY package. The bakers of the best cupcakes win a delicious prize.

The winners of the summer competition received their prize last weekend. They took original photos inspired by the new branding. With the Experience Belgium box, they can choose between dining, relaxing or going on an adventure in Belgium.

It’s not the first time that TheValueChain has delivered a surprise package to its people. But the fact that the management came to deliver the packages themselves gave it an added dimension," says consultant Bert Huygen. "It's a lovely, friendly gesture."
